On April 25th 2009, the Berkner High School auditorium become the site for the 2009 Country Western Dance off, with all proceeds benefitting TMD!  The following High Schools took part, with a special guest appearance by the Texas A&M wranglers:

All the students did an amazing job and there was much fun and competition.  For a country western dance off there were some decidedly non country songs, several Bon Jovi songs could be heard throughout the performances. 

Mr Blackman, the President of TMD, spoke briefly at the event and let those in attendance know a little about where their money was going to.  Mr Blackman also spoke a little about the Ubuntu bracelet campaign and showed a short clip that tied it into the work TMD is doing in South Africa.
